In a major push toward strengthening the electric two-wheeler infrastructure in India, high-performance electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive and EV charging network giant Bolt.Earth have announced a massive expansion of their interoperable fast-charging ecosystem. The joint venture has officially crossed the milestone of deploying over 130 Type-6 DC fast chargers across multiple states, heavily outpacing their initial launch commitments. Originally targeting a rollout of 50 infrastructure points upon entering their strategic partnership, the companies have achieved more than double their original timeline goals ahead of schedule to cater to a rapidly rising user base.
Accelerating the Type-6 Fast-Charging Footprint
The deployment of this specialized network comes at a vital juncture when high-speed charging is deemed critical to solving range anxiety among performance EV enthusiasts. The current network setup comprises a strategic combination of brand-new installations alongside optimized hardware upgrades to existing Bolt.Earth stations, specifically reconfigured to deliver heavy power outputs seamlessly.
Geographically, the network footprint is already live across seven prominent Indian states: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, , , , , and . This localized distribution effectively covers critical urban centers, highway networks, and key intercity touring corridors.
